New Zealand will take on Netherlands in the sixth game of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in Hyderabad.

After the first week of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, every ten participants have played one game each in the tournament. The tournament started with New Zealand thrashing defending champions England in a brilliant manner to open up the competition in style. And now Black Caps will have their second game of the tournament in front of them.

New Zealand will face Netherlands in the sixth match of the tournament on Monday, October 9. That game will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. New Zealand will be firm favorites to win, but they can't write off the Dutch. Here we will talk about the predicted playing XI against Netherlands.

NZ vs NED: New Zealand's Predicted playing XI vs Netherlands

1. Will Young :

Will Young missed in the last game and got out for a golden duck down the leg side. But he is too good of a player to miss out a second consecutive time. He is an aggressive cricketer who likes to give a quick start to the team, and we might see one of those on Monday.

2. Devon Conway :

Devon Conway made a spectacular World Cup debut in the last game and smashed a brilliant century against England. He remained unbeaten on 152 off 121 balls, with 19 fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 125.62. The left-hander has scored four ODI hundreds in 2023, has been in good form, and will be the key for Kiwis.

3. Rachin Ravindra :

The young all-rounder Rachin Ravindra had a dream debut for New Zealand in this World Cup. He smashed the fastest World Cup century for New Zealand with just 82 balls, and England didn't have an answer for him. The left-hander will be a very big wicket and will have high confidence to repeat something similar.

4. Daryl Mitchell :

Daryl Mitchell is very important for New Zealand's middle-order because of the form he is in at the moment. The all-rounder fills a perfect role in the absence of Kane Williamson. He didn't bat against England but will look to score some runs this time around. His medium pace in Hyderabad will be another skill that his team will need.

5. Tom Latham (c & wk) :

Kane Williamson will not be part of the second game for New Zealand, as he wants to take more time. Thus, Tom Latham will be back as captain and will be up to make an impact as captain. He will be behind the wicket as well, marshaling his troops.

6. Glenn Philips :

Glenn Philips is a pretty special cricketer who can bat, bowl, and also keep wickets. He was not required to bat against England but picked up two important wickets of Joe Root and Moeen Ali. So we might see him back with the ball in his hand, doing some important work in the middle.

7. Mark Chapman :

Mark Chapman is another finisher in the team who can bat anywhere in the order. He gives that stability in the batting line-up, and he can bat at the top when the wicket falls, but he can also play as a finisher, which makes him a key player in this role. If he gets to bat, he will be keen to play some good cameos.

8. James Neesham :

James Neesham is very important to this team because he has great balance with both bat and the ball. A player of his caliber will be batting at No. 8, which speaks to the depth of this New Zealand team. He is also the third seamer in the team, which gives good overs with the new and old balls.

9. Mitchell Santner :

Mitchell Santner will be a key player in the team because he will be the first-choice spinner and did a great job against England. He took 2/37 in 10 overs and restricted the batters during the middle-overs. That will be his role once again, and he can also hit a long ball with the bat.

10. Trent Boult :

Trent Boult was good with the ball against England but was unlucky and couldn't pick up many wickets. He finished with 1/48. But Netherlands should be worried about Boult because he can put pressure on them with the new ball itself, and he has the best stats in the power-play in 2023.

11. Matt Henry :

Matt Henry was the man who put pressure on England from the start. He ended up picking 3/48 and breaking the backbone of their batting line-up. Henry will be confident of doing the same, and he can be a possible threat for the Dutch on Monday in Hyderabad with the new ball.
