New Zealand Schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Fixtures, Dates, Venues

New Zealand ended the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 as runners-up.
The schedule for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is out now. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given hosting rights to the USA and West Indies, and it will be the first time that the United States will host an ICC tournament. This tournament will be even bigger, as a total of 20 teams will compete in it. These teams will be divided into four groups of five teams each.
The tournament will start on June 1 (Saturday) in Dallas, while the final of the tournament will be played on June 29 (Saturday) in Barbados. The top two teams from every group will qualify for Super 8, where those eight teams will be divided into two groups of four teams. Two teams from each group then make it to the semi-finals. New Zealand are slotted in Group C, along with the West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Papua New Guinea.
New Zealand will face Afghanistan in their opening game of ICC T20 World Cup 2024 on June 7.
Apart from the Knockout Trophy 2000 and World Test Championship 2021, New Zealand have not won any other ICC titles. Though they have made it to the finals of some tournaments, like the T20 World Cup 2021, they ended up on the wrong side. However, New Zealand will hope that they can use the opportunity this time and make it count. New Zealand are placed in Group C of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, which has rather weaker opponents.
They will face Afghanistan on June 7 in their opening game in Guyana, which can be a tricky match. New Zealand will play their last three matches in Trinidad. Their second game will be on June 12 against the West Indies. These two matches will be challenging for the Black Caps, and they will look to get a win. However, their next two matches are against Uganda and Papua New Guinea on June 14 and 17. New Zealand are favorites to top their group and make C1 from their group.
