New Zealand Schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Fixtures, Dates, Venues

New Zealand will kickoff their ICC T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against Afghanistan on February 8.
The countdown for ICC T20 World Cup 2026 has begun as the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the complete schedule for the tournament on Tuesday, November 25. The tournament will be hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February and March next year.
A total of 20 teams are part of the ICC tournament, out of which, 12 teams qualified directly. The rest eight teams made it to the campaign through ICC’s regional qualifier tournaments. New Zealand have never won the T20 World Cup in the past.
Their best show arrived in the 2021 edition, where they ended as runners-up after losing the final to Australia. In the last edition in 2024, the Kiwis were eliminated from the first round itself. Their defeat against Afghanistan in the group stage was one of the biggest upsets in the tournament’s history.
Therefore, New Zealand will look to bounce back in the forthcoming edition, where they will be one of the strongest teams. While Kiwis are expected to dominate the UAE and Canada in the group stage, they will have a challenging task to overpower South Africa and Afghanistan.
