Oman will begin their campaign in the Asia Cup 2025 against Pakistan.

The 17th edition of the Asia Cup is all set to begin on September 9, 2025. The tournament will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and will feature eight teams. India will be defending their title, and it will be played in T20I format, since the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is around the corner.

Oman will make their first appearance in Asia’s top tournament, which will be played among eight teams. All eight teams are divided in two groups of four teams each. Group A will feature Oman alongside India, Pakistan, and the UAE, while Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka are in Group B.

Oman made it to the multinational tournament after doing well in the regional qualifier. Each team will play one game each in the group stage, and the top two sides from both groups will qualify for the Super Four round, where the top two sides will qualify for the final.

Oman are placed in a very tough group, which will see two top T20I sides, India and Pakistan. Oman will face Pakistan in their opening game on September 12, and after a two-day break, they will be in action against the UAE. Their final game will be against the defending champions, India, on September 19.

India vs Oman – 19th September

If they reach super four stage then they will be playing three more games.
