WPL 2026: Orange Cap & Purple Cap after Eliminator, GG-W vs DC-W

DC-W beat GG-W by seven wickets in the eliminator to qualify for the fourth straight WPL final.
Four seasons and four finals—it has been the story of Delhi Capitals Women in the WPL history. After three final appearances in the first three finals, DC-W have qualified for the final of the WPL 2026 as well. They have beaten Gujarat Giants Women in the Eliminator in Vadodara.
With this win, they have secured a place in the final, where they will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Thursday at BCA Stadium. On Tuesday, the Eliminator began with Jemimah Rodrigues winning the toss and deciding to bowl first.
They had a great start with the wicket of in-form Sophie Devine. GG-W lost their top three wickets for just 38 runs within the powerplay. They couldn’t recover from that position. There was a 61-run stand between Beth Mooney and Georgia Wareham (35 off 25) for the fifth wicket.
Mooney carried her bat through and scored an unbeaten 62 off 51 to take GG-W to a challenging total of 168/7. For DC-W, Chinelle Henry (3/35) and Nadani Sharma (2/44) were the pick of the bowlers.
Chasing the score, DC-W had the best possible start with an 89-run opening stand in just 7.1 overs. Lizelle Lee scored 43 off 24, and Shafali Verma scored 31 off 21 to put the team in the driver’s seat. After that, a 68-run stand for the third wicket between Rodrigues and Laura Wolvaardt helped Delhi seal the match.
Captain Rodrigues scored a brilliant knock of 41 off 23 balls, at a strike rate of 178.25. Wolvaardt remained unbeaten on 32 off 24, while Marizanne Kapp (4*) scored the winning runs. With this win, DC-W made it to their fourth straight WPL final.
