Bangladesh squad arrived in Pakistan earlier than planned for the two-test PAK vs BAN series.

In an interesting piece of news, it has been reported that the Bangladesh players have complained about slow internet service at the hotel in Lahore they are currently staying in. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), though, have refuted these claims.

The Bangladeshi cricket team arrived in Lahore earlier this week. The two nations will clash in a two-match PAK vs BAN test series, which will get underway on August 21 in Rawalpindi.

Their arrival was pre-poned because they couldn’t practice in their country due to the ongoing political and civil unrest.

Bangladeshi players are not able to properly talk with their families

Ahead of the first PAK vs BAN test, it has been learned that the Bangladeshi players are not able to properly talk with their families due to the alleged slow internet service at their hotel in Lahore.

A report in Cricket Pakistan stated, “Bangladesh players have expressed frustration with the slow internet service at their hotel, which has hindered their ability to stay in touch with family amid the political unrest in Bangladesh following President Sheikh Hasina’s resignation. The players have reportedly complained to their team management about the situation.”

A PCB official, however, said that the Bangladesh team management has not yet lodged any such complaint.

It has also been learned that the Internet Service Providers (ISPs) Association has reported a 30 to 40 percent reduction in internet speed across the country. The slowing down of the internet in Pakistan could be because of the government’s experimental implementation of a firewall.

The first PAK vs BAN will be played in Rawalpindi from August 21 and the second in Karachi from August 30. Pakistan will then host England while Bangladesh will tour India.
