Pakistan Cricket Team and Sri Lanka Cricket Team will battle in the third match of the Super Four round of Asia Cup 2025. This will be the second game of both teams in the Super Four round, and will take place on Tuesday, September 23 in Abu Dhabi.
Sri Lanka, led by Charith Asalanka, qualified for Super Four round from group B, winning all three games. They defeated Bangladesh by six wickets in their opening game. Later, they crushed Hong Kong by four wickets and Afghanistan by six wickets.
With six points, they finished at the top spot in group B. However, the Asia Cup 2022 champions faced a setback in their first game of Super Four round against Bangladesh, losing the encounter by four wickets.

After being asked to bat first, Sri Lanka piled up 168/7 in the first innings, with a magnificent half-century by Dasun Shanaka (64*). However, Saif Hassan (61) and Towhid Hridoy (58) hammered marvellous fifties to propel Bangladesh to a victory in the thrilling clash, which went till the final over.
Talking about Pakistan, they finished in the second spot in group A points table to book a berth in the Super Four round. The Salman Agha-led side commenced their journey in Asia Cup 2025 with a victory against Oman by 93 runs.
However, they lost their next game by seven wickets against India, where the latter dominated them with both bat and ball. Later, the Men in Green crushed the UAE by 41 runs in their third match. This is Pakistan’s second match in Super Four round. Earlier, they lost to India by six wickets.
Notably, Pakistan have an edge against Sri Lanka in T20Is. Out of 23 matches, Pakistan have won 13 games while Sri Lanka have won 10 encounters.
