Asif Ali hammered four sixes in the 19th over, bowled by Karim Janat, scoring 25 in just 7 balls and taking Pakistan into the semi.

Then in the Asia Cup 2022, in a tense clash with India, Asif Ali blasted an eight-ball 16 in a tense chase to take Pakistan past the finishing line, chasing the target of 182 in the last over.

Before making a few appearances for a backup Pakistani team at the 2023 Asian Games, he made his final official appearance for the Pakistani team against India at the MCG in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
