Babar Azam holds the record of scoring most centuries in T20I cricket among Pakistan batsmen.

The Pakistan Cricket Team has long been known for its excellent pace attack in world cricket. The country has produced legendary fast bowlers like Wasim Akram, Imran Khan, and Waqar Younis, among others.

The current crop of Pakistani pacers, including Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi, have been outstanding in the shortest format. However, their batting has often been criticized in T20I cricket for its overly cautious approach and slow strike rate.

5. Babar Azam – 62 balls vs England, 2022, Karachi,

Pakistan captain Babar Azam led his team to a remarkable 10-wicket win against England in the second T20I of England’s tour of Pakistan in 2022 in Karachi.

Chasing 200, Pakistan made history by winning the game with three balls to spare. Babar starred for the hosts, smashing a 62-ball century during his unbeaten 110-run knock, which included 11 fours and five sixes. He was well supported by Mohammad Rizwan, who remained unbeaten on 88.

4. Babar Azam – 58 balls vs New Zealand, 2023, Lahore

One of Pakistan’s all-time greats, Babar Azam, was at his best against New Zealand in the second T20I of the series in Lahore in 2023.

Batting first in Lahore, Babar led from the front with an unbeaten 101 off 58 balls, guiding Pakistan to 192/4. He smashed 11 fours and three sixes during his stay at the crease and added 87 runs for the fifth wicket with Iftikhar Ahmed.

In reply, New Zealand managed only 154/7, giving Pakistan a 38-run win. Babar was named Player of the Match.

3. Ahmed Shehzad – 58 balls vs Bangladesh, 2014, Dhaka

Ahmed Shehzad was a key part of Pakistan’s T20I batting setup in the mid-2010s. One of his best innings came against Bangladesh in the group stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2014 in Dhaka.

Opening the batting, Shehzad smashed a 58-ball century to guide Pakistan to a massive first-innings total of 190. His 111 off 62 balls included 10 fours and five sixes.

Pakistan ultimately won the game by 50 runs.

2. Babar Azam – 49 balls vs South Africa, 2021, Centurion

Pakistan’s leading run-scorer in T20I history, Babar Azam, is next on the list with his 49-ball ton. Babar made history with a 49-ball century against South Africa in Centurion in 2021.

South Africa posted 203/5 in the first innings of the third T20I of the series. In reply, Babar led Pakistan’s chase with a stunning 122 off 59 balls, securing a remarkable nine-wicket win with two overs to spare.

His innings, which included 15 fours and four sixes, helped him earn Player of the Match award.

1. Hasan Nawaz – 44 balls vs New Zealand, 2025, Auckland

Hasan Nawaz holds the record for scoring the fastest hundred by a Pakistani batter in T20I cricket. Playing only his third T20I, Nawaz made history with a breathtaking 105-run knock.

Chasing a massive total of 205 runs, Nawaz smashed an unbeaten 105 off 45 balls including 10 fours and seven sixes. He received solid support from captain Salman Agha who chipped in with 51 runs.

Pakistan ultimately won the game by nine wickets and Nawaz was named Player of the Match.
