Pakistan are one of the most successful teams in international cricket. Pakistan’s legacy across formats includes winning both the ICC ODI World Cup and the ICC T20 World Cup once each.

Throughout their cricketing history, Pakistan have had prolific run-scorers. Pakistani batsmen have been instrumental in helping the team post big totals and dominate teams in both home and away conditions.

In the modern landscape, several Pakistani batsmen continue to carry the nation’s rich batting legacy. A few Pakistani batters have cemented their place among the all-time greats, having amassed over 10,000 runs in at the top level.

5. Babar Azam – 14,029 runs

Regarded as one of the best batsmen of the modern era, Babar Azam has been the torchbearer of Pakistan’s batting lineup since his debut. Babar has so far scored 14,029 international runs in 303 matches with a solid batting average of 46.91, with 31 centuries.

His ability to rotate strike has been pivotal in Pakistan’s recent success in the international arena. Babar’s impressive tally includes 3,997 runs in test cricket, 5,809 runs in ODIs, and 4,223 runs in T20Is. He has reached the No. 1 spot in the ICC rankings in both ODIs and T20Is during his career.

4. Javed Miandad – 16,213 runs

Hailed by many as one of Pakistan’s grittiest batsmen, Javed Miandad amassed 16,213 runs in international cricket at an average of 47. What made Miandad special was the fact that he achieved such greatness despite not being a technically gifted player.

Miandad scored 8832 test runs and 7381 ODI runs in his career and hit 31 hundreds. He was also an integral part of Pakistan’s 1992 ODI World Cup-winning side. His highest individual score of 280* came in a test match against India in Hyderabad in 1983.

3. Mohammad Yousuf – 17,134 runs

Mohammad Yousuf (Formerly Yousuf Youhana) is Pakistan’s third-highest scorer in international cricket. In 426 innings, Yousuf scored 17,134 runs at an impressive average of 45.81, with 39 centuries and 95 half-centuries.

His amazing run tally comprises 7,530 test runs and 9,720 ODI runs. His career-best innings of 223 came in a test match against England in Lahore in 2005.

2. Younis Khan – 17,790 runs

Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan is hailed as one of the greatest Asian middle-order batsmen. Besides being a fantastic test batter, Younis was also one of the important limited-overs players for Pakistan.

Younis Khan scored 17,790 international runs, including 10,099 in tests and 7,249 in ODIs, with a combined batting average of 39.88. Younis racked up 41 centuries in international cricket.

His highest individual score came in test cricket in 2009 against Sri Lanka in Karachi, where his knock of 313 rescued a draw for the visitors.

1. Inzamam-ul-Haq – 20,541 runs

One of, if not Pakistan’s greatest batsmen, Inzamam-ul-Haq has scored the most international runs for Pakistan – 20,541 runs in 495 games at an average of 43.51. Inzamam’s stellar career included 35 centuries, the third most by a Pakistani batter, and 129 half-centuries.

Inzamam’s record tally of 20,541 international runs comprises 8,830 test runs and 11,739 ODI runs. His career-best innings of 329 came in a test match against New Zealand in Lahore in 2002.
