Pakistan Schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Fixtures, Dates, Venues

Pakistan will kick-off their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 campaign against USA on 6th June, 2024.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the schedule for the Men’s ICC T20 World Cup 2024, placing Pakistan in Group A alongside India, Ireland, and the hosts USA and Canada. The T20 World Cup 2024 introduces a new format with 20 teams, organized into four groups of five. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Eight stage, followed by a division into two groups of four. The next stage involves the semi-finals, concluding with the ultimate showdown on June 29th.

In the previous T20 World Cup edition, Pakistan reached the final but narrowly lost to England. The 2009 champions are eager to break their trophy drought and secure the cup after 15 years. Shaheen Afridi, who took over the T20I captaincy from Babar Azam post the 2023 ODI World Cup, will lead the Men in Green in this ICC event.

Big match against India on 9th June

Pakistan will play all their group-stage matches in the USA. The opening game for Pakistan is against Ireland in Dallas on June 6th, followed by a highly anticipated match against India in New York on June 9th.

Subsequently, they will face Canada on June 11th, also in New York, and conclude the group stage against Ireland on June 16th in Florida. The team’s advancement to the Super 8 round depends on their performance, aiming to secure a top-two position in Group A’s points table.
