Pakistan vs Australia Live - 2nd T20I of PAK vs AUS series in Lahore

The stage is all set for the second T20I of the Pakistan vs Australia series. The high-octane clash is all set to take place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday, January 31. The series acts as a great preparation for both teams for the T20 World Cup 2026, which will begin on February 7.

Pakistan started the series on a high note, winning the opening clash by 22 runs. They had a decent outing with bat and ball, but there were some areas where they lacked. And the second game provides them the opportunity to work on those and head into T20 World Cup 2026 on a high.

On the other hand, Australia’s decision to rest key players in the opening game backfired as the inexperienced batters struggled against spin. With the series on the line, they are expected to bring their A game and second AUS vs PAK T20I promises to be an enthralling clash.

Pakistan beat Australia in first T20I to take a 1-0 lead

Australia rested captain Mitchell Marsh in the first T20I and the move didn’t pay off. Travis Head, who was captaining his team, lost the toss and his side was asked to field. They had a decent outing with the ball, restricting Pakistan to 168/8, not allowing any of their batter to hit a half-century. Saim Ayub (40) and Salman Agha (39) were the highest run-scorers for Pakistan, while Adam Zampa picked a four-wicket haul for Australia.

In the chase, Australia struggled and lost wickets at regular intervals. Travis Head (23) and Cameron Green (36) had starts, but failed to convert. Pakistan spinners seemed to be unplayable as Australia suffered a drastic collapse in middle, and were left reeling at 112 for eight.

Xavier Bartlett (34*) revived the hopes of Australian fans in the end, but target was far away from reach as they could only reach 146/8. Saim Ayub, who also picked two wickets with the ball, was awarded Player of the Match in Pakistan’s 22-run win.
