Pakistan to host New Zealand in five-match T20I series during IPL 2024

Pakistan and New Zealand are set to play a limited overs bilateral series during IPL 2024.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will commence on 22nd March with a high voltage game between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and IPL Governing council has announced the schedule for first 15 days of the upcoming IPL 2024, the rest will be announced after the general elections date are announced.
Pakistan have also announced a five-match T20I series against New Zealand in between the IPL 2024. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Wednesday that the New Zealand side will travel to Pakistan in April in between the Indian Premier League season. The series will be played between 18th to 27th April in Pakistan. This will be New Zealand’s third tour to Pakistan in last 17 months.
The PCB also revealed that the Blackcaps side will arrive on 14th April. This series is seen as best possible option as a preparation for the upcoming ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 in June. West Indies and the USA will host the mega T20I event which will start from 1st June. The Kiwis travelled to Pakistan in December 2022, April 2023 and now in April 2024.
Pakistan’s Director of International Cricket Usman Wahla said, “In a testament to the unwavering camaraderie between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and New Zealand Cricket (NZC), we are delighted to present the schedule for New Zealand men’s team tour to Pakistan 2024.” Rawalpindi will host the first three T20I games between Pakistan and New Zealand and the final two will be played in Lahore.
Usman Wahla also added that this tour symbolizes the deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and New Zealand. He added, “This tour symbolises the deep-rooted ties and mutual respect that define the relationship between our two cricketing nations.” The Kiwis will have one day rest on 15th April and then they will begin their training on 16th and 17th April.

20 April – 2nd T20I, Rawalpindi
21 April – 3rd T20I, Rawalpindi
25 April – 4th T20I, Lahore
27 April – 5th T20I, Lahore
