Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal are going to tie the knot on November 23.
India Women‘s cricketer Smriti Mandhana got engaged to film director Palash Muchhal at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. Muchhal gave a big surprise to Mandhana by proposing her for marriage at the stadium, where she won ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 and the duo also exchanged rings at the venue.
In a video shared by Palash on his Instagram account on Friday, November 21, he is seen leading Smriti to the pitch and giving her the biggest surprise by presenting her with a ring and a rose bouquet in the presence of their close friends.
Palash guided Smriti inside the stadium with a blindfold on her eyes. When she removed the blindfold, she saw her boyfriend on one knee and proposing to her, and the video of the moment went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, Mandhana are Palash are going to tie the knot on November 23. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent wishes to the couple with an official letter.
“It is delightful to learn about the wedding of Sou. Smriti and Chi. Palash, to be held on 23 November 2025. Heartiest congratulations and greetings to the Mandhana and Muchhal families on this auspicious and joyous occasion,” an official letter from PMO’s office read.
“Walking hand in hand through every season of life, may the couple find strength in each other’s presence, and may their hearts, minds, and souls be in harmony. May their dreams intertwine and grow together, guiding them towards a future filled with joy and deep understanding,” it further added.

Meanwhile, the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy ground is a special venue for Mandhana, where she won ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 title earlier this month. India Women crushed South Africa Women by 52 runs in the final to script history, winning their first-ever ICC title. Mandhana, who hit a 45-run knock in the final, was India Women’s highest run-scorer with 434 runs in nine games.
