Australia name unchanged XI for final test against Pakistan

Pat Cummins revealed Australian playing XI for the final test at Sydney Cricket Ground.
Australia have a 2-0 lead over Pakistan after winning the first two test matches of the three-match test series. Skipper Pat Cummins revealed Australia’s playing XI for the final test match in Sydney. Australia have made no changes to their playing XI to take on the visitors, Pakistan. The Aussies will also be aiming for a 3-0 whitewash in the series and 12 points on the WTC points table.
Opener David Warner will be playing the final test match of his career. Warner will be saying goodbye to the game batting in front of his home crowd at the SCG. Warner also announced his retirement from ODI cricket on New Year’s Day. Australia won the first two test matches played at Perth and the MCG.
‘Consistent run to pace bowlers,’ says Pat Cummins
The Australian team management decided to not make any changes to their winning combination and have persisted with Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood in the playing XI. Cummins said that all three of the pace bowlers are fresh, despite the heavy workload. Pat Cummins picked up 10 wickets in the MCG test, while Starc and Hazlewood have also been doing well for the team.
Pat Cummins said, “Normally each summer there’s something that pops up. But, all three of us are really fresh. Even the way this summer is spread out a bit more, there’s two Tests on, then a bit of a gap; then two Tests, then a bit of a gap then New Zealand. We’ll give it a chance. It’s all gone pretty smoothly so far.”
Earlier it was hinted that Cameron Green might be included in the playing XI to share the heavy workload. But, Pat Cummins and the team management have decided to give the winning combination a consistent run. Mitchell Marsh has been retained, he played a valiant 96-run knock at the MCG in the second innings. Alex Carey also scored 53 runs in the second innings.
