The PBKS vs DC clash of IPL 2025 was abandoned due to technical issues.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to resume the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 from May 17. The tournament was suspended on 9 May with immediate effect for one week due to security reasons following Operation Sindoor. On Monday, May 12, BCCI released an official statement to announce the revised schedule for the remainder of IPL 2025.

Notably, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) vs Delhi Capitals (DC), 58th match of IPL 2025 on Thursday, May 8, was stopped midway due to technical failures at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium, Dharamsala. The match was later abandoned due to security reasons. Only 10.1 overs could be played in the first innings of the match.

Also, players of both teams were brought back to Delhi amid safety concerns in Dharamsala due to military tensions between India and Pakistan in border regions. No team was awarded any points after the match, and there was confusion about whether the match would be played once again. However, BCCI has announced the revised schedule for the PBKS vs DC clash of IPL 2025.

When will the revised PBKS vs DC match of IPL 2025 take place?

As per the revised schedule of IPL 2025, the PBKS vs DC match will take place on Saturday, May 24. The encounter will be played at the Sawai Mansingh Cricket Stadium in Jaipur. Shreyas Iyer is the skipper of PBKS, while Axar Patel leads DC in IPL 2025. Interestingly, Shreyas Iyer & Co. were looking to finalize their spot in the playoffs with a victory during the previous clash against DC.

They needed to win the clash to book their place in the playoffs. However, the situation will not be the same in the upcoming conflict between the two sides. Since there will be eight more matches in IPL 2025 before the PBKS vs DC clash, the chances of making it to the playoffs could be different.

PBKS are third on the points table with 15 points. They will play four more games in the tournament and need one victory to book their spot in the playoffs. They will clash with the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their next game of IPL 2025 on Sunday, May 18.

Meanwhile, the remaining games of IPL 2025 will be played across six venues. Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai have been shortlisted to host the remaining 17 matches of the tournament. The final has been pushed back to June 3 in the revised schedule. The venues for the playoffs and the final will be announced later.
