PCB chief Zaka Ashraf will witness India vs Pakistan game scheduled in Ahmedabad.

The stage is set for the big-money clash in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. India will be taking on arch-rivals Pakistan to carry on their 100 percent World Cup record. In the last seven meetings at the world's biggest cricket event, India have dominated their neighbors Pakistan and won all seven games. Pakistan will be searching for their maiden 50-overs World Cup against India when they enter the field at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Pakistan Cricket Board chief Zaka Ashraf will be landing in Ahmedabad on Thursday to witness the high-voltage India vs Pakistan clash in the 2023 World Cup. Zaka Ashraf will be traveling with Pakistani media professionals. Around 60 Pakistani journalists applied for a visa to cover Pakistan’s World Cup game, and the further proceedings could have made them miss the big clash between India and Pakistan in Ahmedabad.

Zaka Ashraf confirms his India visit

Pakistani journalists have now been asked to submit their passports for the visa process. In a press release issued by Pakistan Cricket Board, Zaka Ashraf was quoted as saying, “I have delayed my travel to India, and I am traveling tomorrow after receiving confirmation that Pakistan’s journalists have been asked to submit their passports to obtain visas to cover the mega event.” Pakistani journalists were having a little delay in visa proceedings.

PCB chief Zaka Ashraf also highlighted that the conversations with the foreign office helped in achieving a positive outcome. PCB Zaka Ashraf was also happy to note Pakistan’s dominating performance in the World Cup so far. Ashraf said, “I am extremely pleased with the way the players have performed so far in the World Cup, winning both matches. The PCB and the entire nation stand firmly behind the players for a successful ongoing campaign."

Pakistan chased down World Cup history’s biggest total against Sri Lanka at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad. Mohammad Rizwan (131*) and Abdullah Shafiquee (113) played magical knocks to win the game for Pakistan. They had a dominating win against Netherlands in their opening game played in Hyderabad. Pakistan are looking for a strong unit for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 campaign in India.
