Suryakumar Yadav dedicated India’s win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 to Indian Armed Forces.
Indian Cricket Team T20I Suryakumar Yadav is all set to face massive trouble. As per the reports in NDTV, it is learnt that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be filing an official complaint to the International Cricket Council (ICC) against the Indian captain over his remarks after the India vs Pakistan group stage match of Asia Cup 2025.
India, under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, thrashed Pakistan by seven wickets on 14th September in Dubai. While the match had its own charm, it was marred by a massive controversy with Indian players refusing to shake hands with their Pakistan counterparts before and after the match.
If this was not enough, Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav then dedicated the win to the Indian armed forces who took part in “Operation Sindoor” and expressed solidarity with families affected by the recent Pahalgam terror attack. The captain made the comments twice – in the post-match presentation and the post-match press conference.
PCB says Suryakumar Yadav’s comments were political and “violates the spirit of the game”

This seemed not to have gone well with the PCB as they will be putting Suryakumar Yadav under the scanner. According to the governing body, the comments made by the Indian captain were political and they believe that it “violates the spirit of the game.”
Even former PCB chief Ramiz Raja also attacked Suryakumar Yadav openly for his comments, saying that: “My biggest objection was what was said in the post-match presentation by Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav. That editorial was the critical point.”
After Indian players refused to exchange pleasantries with Pakistan players, they blamed match referee Andy Pycroft for it. The PCB also demanded his snub from the tournament and threatened to boycott the game against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) if their demands weren’t met.
However, the ICC gave a clean chit to Andy Pycroft, who according to PCB also apologised for miscommunication. After all the drama, India and Pakistan are all set to lock horns with each other again. The match will be played on Sunday, 21st September in Dubai.
