Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women’s impressive run continues in WPL 2026, as they have registered their fifth consecutive win. On Monday, they strengthened their position for the playoffs by defeating the Gujarat Giants Women for the second time in a week.
The match between the two sides took place at BCA Stadium in Vadodara. It was the first game of the second leg, and nothing had changed for RCB-W. They recorded yet another dominating win. However, the toss didn’t go their way.
GG-W won the toss, and just like every team has done, Ash Gardner put RCB-W to bat first. RCB had a horrible start; lost two wickets in the first two overs. Smriti Mandhana tried hard but got out for 26 off 23 balls. But for the fifth time in a row, RCB-W found a new match winner in Gautami Naik.
It didn’t look like she was playing her only third WPL game. The 27-year-old played some beautiful shots and scored her maiden WPL fifty. She scored 72 runs off 55 balls, with one six and seven fours. Her knock took RCB-W to a challenging score of 178/6 in the first innings.
It was a big score against an in-form RCB-W bowling unit. Lauren Bell and Sayali Satghare set the tone, and GG-W lost four wickets within seven overs. Captain Gardner scored a fighting fifty and made 54 off 43, as GG-W only managed 117/8, losing by 61 runs. With this, RCB-W earned two more points.

RCB-W had yet another great game, where someone from the team stepped up and put her hands up. This time it was Gautami Naik. Her knock helped RCB-W win the game and also qualified for the playoffs. After this win, RCB-W stayed at the top with 12 points.
MI-W are still in second spot with four points. UPW-W and GG-W also have four points each, and they are next on the table. DC-W have two points, and they are at the bottom of the table.
