RCB-W beat UPW-W by nine wickets to record their second consecutive win of the WPL 2026.
Another game and another dominating performance by the second-season winner, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, in the WPL 2026 as they won their second consecutive game. Smriti Mandhana and her team dominated UP Warriorz Women on Monday in Navi Mumbai.
RCB won the second toss in a row and decided to bowl first. They had a good start with the ball as Lauren Bell produced another economical spell in the powerplay and took 1-16. Arundhati Reddy and Linsey Smith didn’t pick up a wicket but bowled well.
UPW-W lost four wickets in a span of 7 balls and were reduced to 50/5 in 8.2 overs. Then, Deepti Sharma (45 off 35) and Deandra Dottin (40 off 37) came to the rescue and stitched an unbeaten stand of 93 runs off 70 balls to take UPW-W to 143/5 in the first innings.
Shreyanka Patil (2/50) and Nadine de Klerk (2/28) took two wickets each. It wasn’t a big target; RCB openers produced a flying start with a 137-run opening stand in just 11.4 overs. Grace Harris took charge and scored 85 off 40 balls with ten fours and five sixes.
Smriti Mandhana remained unbeaten at 47 off 32 balls as RCB-W reached 145/1 in just 12.1 overs to register a massive win and earn two important points on the board. It was the second consecutive defeat for Meg Lanning and UPW-W in the WPL 2026.
