Another game, and another win for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the WPL 2026. Smriti Mandhana and co. have three straight wins to start the fourth edition. They have delivered three excellent performances to get off to a fantastic start, and they are at the top of the points table.
On Friday, RCB-W locked horns with Gujarat Giants Women at Dr. Dy Patil Sports Academy, and it was another comprehensive win for them. Unlike the first two games, Smriti lost the toss in this game, and RCB-W were asked to bat first. The start was not good either.
They lost four wickets in the power play and were 43/4 in 5.3 overs. But then came a 105-run stand between Radha Yadav and Richa Ghosh in 11 overs. Radha scored her maiden WPL fifty and made 66 off 47, and Richa supported her well with a 28-ball 44.
Nadine de Klerk played a good cameo of 26 off 12 as RCB-W finished with 182/7 in the first innings. Sophie Devine took 3/31 for GG-W. It was a tough target, and GG-W needed a good start. Beth Mooney scored 27 off 14 but didn’t get any support. They were 70/5 in 10.4 when it looked all over for them.
Bharti Fulmali (39 off 20) and Tanuja Kanwar (21 off 13) tried hard, but it was too much for them. GG-W were bowled out for 150 runs, and Shreyanka Patil produced a magical spell of 5/23, dismantling GG-W’s batting unit to take RCB-W to their third straight win of the season.
