Fans witnessed two exciting games on Saturday in the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2026). Unlike the first two matches of the season, the two matches on Saturday were won by the chasing teams. The first game was a high-scoring thriller between Rawalpindi and Peshawar Zalmi.

Batting first, Rawalpindi had a dream start with a 125-run opening stand between Yasir Khan (83 off 46) and captain Mohammad Rizwan (41 off 32). Cameos from Kamran Ghulam (37 off 20) and Daryl Mitchell (23 off 13) helped them to reach 214/4.

Peshawar Zalmi also started well with a 78-run opening stand between Mohammad Haris (47 off 28) and Babar Azam (39 off 28). Kusal Mendis (31 off 17), Michael Bracewell (35* off 17), Abdul Samad (33 off 11), and Aamer Jamal (17* off 5) helped the Zalmi to reach 218/8 and record the fifth-highest chase in the PSL.

In the second game, Multan Sultans beat Islamabad United by 5 wickets, chasing a 172-run target. Mark Chapman (40 off 21) and Sameer Minhas (28 off 21) were the top scores for the United. Momin Qamar took 3/24.

In the chase, Josh Philippe scored 55 off 35 and was supported by captain Ashton Turner (43* off 28). The Sultans scored 175/5 and won with 8 balls to spare.

Two more teams opened their accounts on Saturday in the PSL 2026. The defending champions, Lahore Qalandars, are still at the top with an NRR of +3.450. With a win over Islamabad United, Multan Sultans have jumped to second spot in the points table.

Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi follow them with two points each. Rawalpindi Pindiz, Quetta Gladiators, Islamabad United, and Hyderabad Kingsmen are next on the list with no points.

PSL 2026: Most runs

Yasir Khan scored a brilliant 83 against Peshawar Zalmi, but his team lost the game. However, he is at the top of the table. Josh Phillippe is second after his match-winning 55 against Islamabad United.

Fakhar Zaman and Shamyl Hussain have fifty each, and they are next on the table. Moeen Ali from Karachi Kings is at no. 5.
