Nat Sciver-Brunt’s century led MI-W to a win over RCB-W in Vadodara as Mumbai Indians kept themselves alive in WPL 2026.

Fans were treated to a run feast in WPL 2026 on Monday in Vadodara between the two champions. But the defending champion, Mumbai Indians, succeeded in winning a game after three consecutive defeats. They beat RCB-W by a margin of 15 runs and came back on the winning track.

The game started with Smriti Mandhana winning the toss and deciding to bowl first. MI-W had another poor start, and they lost their first wicket for just 16 runs. But then came a record partnership between Hayley Matthews (56 off 39) and Nat Sciver-Brunt of 131 runs.

Sciver Brunt carried her good form and went on to create history. She became the first-ever batter to reach a triple figure in the WPL. She finished the innings unbeaten at 100 off 57 balls, with 16 fours and one six.

It was her knock that took MI-W to 199/4 in the first innings. Only Lauren Bell (2/21) had a good day with the ball for RCB-W. Chasing a big total, RCB-W had a horrible start, and they lost their top five wickets for just 35 runs within the powerplay.

Nadine de Klerk scored 28 off 20. Only Richa Ghosh was the one that kept trying hard and took RCB-W very close to the target. She played a blistering knock of 90 off 50 balls, with ten fours and six maximums. RCB-W finished at 184/9, losing by 15 runs. With this, MI-W earned two crucial points on the board.

RCB-W have now lost two consecutive games, but they are still at the top of the points table with ten points. But a win on Monday has helped MI-W to move to the second spot on the table. They have six points.

They are followed by Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Giants in third and fourth place. Both teams have six points on the table. UPW-W are at the bottom of the ladder with four points.

Phoebe Litchfield is third on the list with 243 runs in six innings. Smriti Mandhana is fourth on the list with 236 runs. In fifth place is Lizelle Lee with 219 runs.
