Two thrilling games took place in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) on Sunday, April 5. In the afternoon clash, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) grabbed their first victory of the tournament.
They defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by five wickets, chasing down a 157-run target. LSG captain Rishabh Pant scored a half-century to play a key role in the victory.
In the second game, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) suffered their third consecutive defeat in IPL 2026. After being asked to bat first, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) piled up a mountainous total of 250/3 with brilliant teamwork by Devdutt Padikkal (50), Rajat Patidar (48), and Tim David (70).
Losing their first three batters for single digits, CSK suffered a big blow at the start of the chase. Sarfaraz Khan (50), Prashant Veer (43), and Jamie Overton (37) tried their best efforts, but CSK were bowled out for 207 runs and lost by 43 runs.
