Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) clashed in the Indian Premier League 2026 on April 13 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. SRH beat RR by 57 runs; Rajasthan suffered their first defeat in IPL 2026.
After being asked to bat first, SRH lost openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head cheaply. However, captain Ishan Kishan slammed a marvellous knock of 91 runs. Heinrich Klassen (40), Nitish Kummar Reddy (28), and Salil Arora (24*) added crucial runs to take the scoreboard to 216/6.
In the chase, debutant Praful Hinge gave a big blow to RR, clinching three wickets in the first over. RR lost five batters before 10 runs on the board as SRH bowlers completely dominated them at the start.
Donovan Ferreira scored a half-century but it didn’t affect the game. RR were bowled out for just 159 runs, losing by 57 runs. Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain picked two wickets each for SRH.
