The Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) saw two high-scoring encounters on Saturday. The afternoon game was played between the Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings. Batting first, DC posted a mammoth total of 264/2 in the first innings.
Nitish Rana scored a brilliant 91 off 44, but the day belonged to KL Rahul, who scored an unbeaten 152 off just 67 balls. But despite having a big total, DC failed to defend it. PBKS won the match by scoring 265/4 in 18.5 overs. They also set the record for the highest-ever IPL chase.
Prabhsimran Singh (76 off 26) and Captain Shreyas Iyer (71* off 36) scored match-winning half-centuries. In the second game of the day, Rajasthan Royals took on Sunrisers Hyderabad in Jaipur.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a 36-ball century, and RR scored 228/6 in the first innings. However, SRH showed determination in batting as well and won by scoring 229/5 in 18.3 overs. Abhishek Sharma scored 57 off 29 while Ishan Kishan scored 74 off 31 to take the team home.

Punjab Kings have maintained their winning streak. After beating the Delhi Capitals, they stayed at the top of the table. RCB and RR are next on the list with ten points each.
With a win over RR, Sunrisers Hyderabad have moved to third place with 10 points. CSK, DC and GT have six points each and are placed next in the table, respectively. MI and LSG are 8th and 9th with four points each. KKR have three points, and they are at the bottom.
