Punjab Kings retain their top spot in the points table after the 46th match of IPL 2026.

Two low-scoring games took place in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Sunday, which witnessed chasing teams grabbing victories.

In the afternoon clash, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) crushed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by seven wickets. Despite opting to bat first, the Pat Cummins & Co. failed to post a respectable total at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. They were bowled out for just 165 runs with Travis Head (61) being the top run-getter.

Varun Chakravarthy clinched a three-wicket haul while Sunil Narine and Kartik Tyagi got two scalps each to dismantle SRH batters. In the chase, Ajinkya Rahane (43) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (59) played a pivotal role as KKR chased the target by seven wickets in just 18.2 overs.

In the evening clash, Punjab Kings (PBKS) failed to post a mammoth total against Gujarat Titans (GT) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Their top and middle-order batters lost their wickets cheaply; however, Suryansh Shedge (57) and Marcus Stoinis (40) helped them to reach 163/9.

In the chase, GT lost captain Shubman Gill cheaply but his opening partner Sai Sudharsan (57) scored a half-century. Gujarat dominated the chase at the start, adding 58 runs in the powerplay. While they lost six wickets, Washington Sundar (40*) held his nerves and took the team home by four wickets with a six on penultimate ball of the match.
