Sunrisers Hyderabad take the top of the points table after the 50th match of IPL 2026.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) crushed Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by nine runs in match 50 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on May 7 at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
After being asked to bat first, LSG opener Mitchell Marsh (111) hammered RCB bowlers all over the park, hitting a brilliant century. He took down Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar with ease as RCB bowlers were completely helpless against him.
Rishabh Pant (32*) and Nicholas Pooran (38) added crucial runs in the death overs as LSG posted a mammoth total of 209/3 in 19 overs, with the match getting reduced by one over per innings after being hampered by rain thrice.
Chasing the revised target of 213 due to DLS, RCB lost Jacob Bethell (4) and Virat Kohli (0) in first two overs. Devdutt Padikkal (34) could not go big, while Rajat Patidar (61 off 31) scored a quickfire half-century.
However, after losing their fifth wicket in the 12th over, RCB lost the plot. Tim David (40 off 17) added some runs but lost his wicket at a crucial moment. Krunal Pandya (28*) and Romario Shepherd (23*) brought the match close with 20 runs needed off the final over. However, they reached 203/6, losing the game by nine runs.

SRH take the top spot in the IPL 2026 points table with 14 points. Punjab Kings are next in the second place with 13 points. After the defeat, RCB remain in third place with 12 points.
Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans are the next teams in the list. CSK, DC, KKR and MI are the next in the queue, while Lucknow still languish at the last position with six points.
