Sunrisers Hyderabad take the top spot in the points table after the 51st match of IPL 2026.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) crushed Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League 2026 on May 8. Chasing a target of 142, KKR easily won by eight wickets.

After being asked to bat first, DC opener Pathum Nissanka (50) scored a half-century, adding 49 runs in the five overs with KL Rahul (23).

However, DC lost a few batters cheaply in the middle-overs, with Nitish Rana, Sameer Rizvi, Tristan Stubbs, and Axar Patel failing to go big with the bat. Ashutosh Sharma added 39 runs to drive the scoreboard to 142/8 in the first innings.

In the chase, KKR opener Finn Allen (100*) led from the front, smacking an unbeaten century off 47 balls. He etched a 116-run stand with Cameron Green to bring the team home by eight wickets in just 14.2 overs.

SRH take the top spot in the IPL 2026 points table with 14 points. Punjab Kings are next in the second place with 13 points. Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Rajasthan Royals, and Gujarat Titans are next with 12 points each, followed by Chennai Super Kings in sixth place.

KKR have now dropped to seventh place while DC have slipped to eighth spot. Mumbai Indians and LSG languish in the last two spots with six points each.

SRH’s Heinrich Klaasen is the highest run-scorer in the tournament after match 51 with 494 runs, followed by Abhishek Sharma with 475 runs. KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan are the next batters in the queue. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi takes the fifth spot with 404 runs.
