Gujarat Titans (GT) crushed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 82 runs in the 56th match of the Indian Premier League 2026 on Tuesday, May 12. Winning their fifth game in a row, GT inched closer to a playoffs berth.

Opener Sai Sudharsan (61) scored a half-century for GT after Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler were dismissed for single digits. Washington Sundar (50) also played a crucial knock, taking the scoreboard to 168/5.

Sunrisers completely lost the plot in the chase, losing both openers, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, for single digits. Key batters like Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen, and Nitish Kumar Reddy also failed to go big.

Losing five wickets within 10 overs, SRH were far from victory. They were eventually all out for just 86 runs, suffering a massive batting-order collapse. Kagiso Rabada and Jason Holder dismantled SRH’s batting unit with their three-wicket hauls, while Prasidh Krishna picked up two scalps.
