Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 89 runs tonight in the Indian Premier League 2026. After being asked to bat first, GT piled up a mammoth total of 229/4.
Sai Sudharsan (84) and Shubman Gill (64) slammed half-centuries and gave a stunning start with their 125-run partnership. Jos Buttler (57) made a crucial contribution as CSK bowlers completely failed to dominate GT batters.
In the chase, CSK lost Sanju Samson (0), Ruturaj Gaikwad (16), and Urvil Patel (0) cheaply. They succumbed to pressure after losing four wickets in the powerplay.
Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada, and Rashid Khan picked three wickets each to dismantle CSK’s batting unit. Shivam Dube (47) was the leading run-scorer for the side, who bowled out for just 140 runs.
