Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 55 runs in the 67th match of the Indian Premier League 2026 on May 22.
After opting to bat first, SRH piled up a gigantic total of 255/4. Abhishek Sharma (56), Ishan Kishan (79), and Heinrich Klaasen (51) slammed half-centuries and dominated RCB bowlers throughout the innings.
In the chase, Venkatesh Iyer scored 44 runs, but Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal could not go big. However, Rajat Patidar (56) scored a crucial half-century to help RCB cross the 166-run mark and remain at the top of the points table despite a defeat. RCB could only reach 200/4 till the end.

RCB and GT hold the top two positions in the points table with 18 points each. They will clash in Qualifier 1. SRH and RR take the third and fourth positions with 18 and 14 points, respectively. SRH have also qualified for the playoffs.
Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders are next in 5th and 6th positions with 13 points each. CSK take the seventh spot with 12 points and have been eliminated from the tournament.
Delhi Capitals hold the eighth spot with 12 points. Mumbai Indians and LSG languish in the last two positions with eight points each and have been eliminated.
