RR defeated GT to register their second consecutive victory in IPL 2026.
Two games took place in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) on Saturday, April 4. In the afternoon clash, Delhi Capitals (DC) crushed Mumbai Indians (MI) by six wickets.
MI could not post a big total at Arun Jaitley Stadium, piling up 162/6 in the first innings. Later, DC chased down the target in 18.1 overs with a match-winning knock by Sameer Rizvi (90).
In the evening clash, Rajasthan Royals defeated Gujarat Titans by six runs to grab their second victory in a row. RR captain Riyan Parag won the toss and opted to bat first. With half-centuries by Yashasvi Jaiswal (55) and Dhruv Jurel (75), they posted 210/6 in the first innings.
In the chase, opener Sai Sudharsan scored a 73-run knock for GT. However, other batters failed to support him.
GT struggled at 161/7 at one stage, but Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada kept the winning hopes alive in the death overs. Eventually, pacer Tushar Deshpande defended 11 runs in the final over to lead RR to victory by six runs.
