Punjab Kings (PBKS) are clashing with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Sunday, April 19. LSG captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to field first in the encounter.

Pacer Mohammed Shami provided first breakthrough for his team, dismissing opener Prabhsimran Singh for a golden duck in the first over. However, Priyansh Arya and Copper Connolly came up with a brutal batting performance, adding 63 runs in the powerplay.

Both of them slammed half-centuries and helped PBKS to score runs at a high run-rate. LSG bowlers were completely helpless against the duo, as they hammered them all over the park.

In the 10th over, LSG pacer Prince Yadav suffered an injury scare. On the 4th ball of the innings, he delivered a slower delivery, to which Priyansh Arya waited and smacked it to the left of the bowler who wasn’t ready in his follow-through.

He attempted to stop the ball but got smashed into his right thumb flush. He flung his hand in pain and left the field immediately after completing his over.

However, the injury did not seem to be serious as Yadav returned to bowl the 14th over and gave the second breakthrough to the team by dismissing Cooper Connolly.

Arya lost his wicket in the next over; however, the damage had already been done. Punjab crossed 190 runs in 15 overs, with both Arya (93) and Connolly (87) scoring fifties.

Meanwhile, Prince is the leading wicket-taker for LSG with 10 wickets in six games. He is also among the top five leading wicket-takers in the tournament currently.
