T20 World Cup 2026 Prize Money: How much money will winning team & runners-up receive?

India and New Zealand will clash in the T20 World Cup 2026 final.
India and New Zealand are the finalists of the T20 World Cup 2026 and will meet in the summit clash on Sunday, March 8, at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. While the Men-in-Blue eye to defend their title, the Black Caps aim for their maiden title victory in the tournament’s history.
While the winner of the IND vs NZ clash will get the tag of T20I champions, both teams will also earn handsome prize money. The ICC has set a total prize pool of $13.5 million for the T20 World Cup 2026, which is a 20 per cent increase from the previous edition in 2024.
All 20 teams that participated in the tournament will earn huge sums of money. Moreover, the losing teams of the semi-finals, England and South Africa, will also earn monetary rewards.
What is the prize money for the winning team and runners-up?

Notably, the winner of the T20 World Cup 2026 will receive a prize money of $3 Million, which is roughly about INR 27.48 crore. The runners-up will not return empty-handed as they will earn $1.6 Million (approx. INR 14.65 crore).
South Africa and England, who lost the semi-finals, will be awarded $7,90,000 each (INR 7.24 crore). The remaining four teams from the Super 8 stage who did not qualify for the semi-finals will receive $380,000 (INR 3.48 crore).
On the other hand, the teams that could not surpass the group stage will be awarded $250,000 each (INR 2.29 crore).
