Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed that PSL 2026 will take place from March 26 to May 3 next year.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 will be played in the March to May window next year for the second straight year, meaning that the tournament will overlap with Indian Premier League (IPL) next year once again.

The 11th edition of the tournament is scheduled to commence on March 26 and conclude on May 3, as confirmed by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. Last year, PSL 2025 was conducted in the March-May window due to Pakistan hosting ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The tournament is usually conducted in the February-March window and witnessed its first nine seasons in the same period. However, with ICC T20 World Cup 2026 set to be played in the February-March window next year in India and Sri Lanka, PCB have been forced to conduct the tournament once again from March to May.

During a PSL roadshow in New York on Sunday, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan’s international campaigns in the March-May window will be rescheduled next year to accommodate PSL 2026.

“Any international commitments of the Pakistan team during this window will be readjusted,” he was quoted as saying by TOI.

Notably, the Men in Green are scheduled to clash with Bangladesh in a multi-format series from March to April, which comprises two tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is.

Meanwhile, six teams are part of Pakistan’s franchise T20 tournament- Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, and Quetta Gladiators. Next year two more teams are set to feature in the league with Multan all set to lose their contract.
