Cheteshwar Pujara has more than enough experience to make a comeback: MSK Prasad | EXCLUSIVE

Former India selector MSK Prasad opened up on exclusion of Cheteshwar Pujara from the Indian test squad.
With Cheteshwar Pujara being omitted from the test squad for the upcoming series against West Indies, speculations arise about his future in Test cricket. During an exclusive chat with Khel Now's Kartik Mehindru, MSK Prasad, the former selector, the question arose regarding Pujara's exclusion and the challenges he might face in making a comeback, considering his age and stature in the game. Prasad expressed his belief that it is not a difficult task for Pujara to make a comeback.
Highlighting Pujara's vast experience, Prasad emphasized that the player holds the bat in his hands, and it is through his performances that he can make a statement. Prasad suggested that Pujara should focus on domestic cricket, score runs consistently, and keep performing. The selectors will then evaluate the situation and make decisions accordingly. Prasad also acknowledged Pujara's determination, describing him as a player who never gives up and will be available whenever required.
“I don't think it's difficult at all. Pujara has more than enough experience to make a comeback. He holds the bat and lets his bat do the talking. Whenever we need experience for an overseas tour, we can always call Pujara back”, MSK Prasad said.
“Pujara will be thinking of going back to domestic cricket and keep getting runs. He will definitely continue performing, and whenever there is a requirement, he will be there. He is the kind of player who never gives up”, MSK Prasad added.
Pujara's outstanding comeback in Duleep Trophy semifinal

Cheteshwar Pujara displayed an exceptional comeback performance during the Duleep Trophy semifinal against Central Zone. Answering his critics, Pujara scored a remarkable century for West Zone. However, despite this achievement, Pujara faced disappointment as he was recently omitted from the 16-member Indian test squad for the tour of West Indies.
The decision came as a consequence of his relatively low run-scoring in the test format this year. Pujara struggled to pose a challenge against the Australian bowlers in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy earlier in the year, and also in the World Test Championship Final against them at The Oval.
