Pakistan Super League 2026 is witnessing a battle among eight teams for the trophy. Out of eight teams, four will qualify for the playoffs in PSL 2026. The final will take place on Sunday, May 3, at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The tournament has reached its halfway stage, and a few teams have shown brilliant form. While some teams are on the verge of securing a playoff spot, others will need to win their upcoming matches to book a spot in the top four.
Thus, without further ado, let’s look at the qualification scenarios of all the teams in the PSL 2026.
PSL 2026 Qualification Scenario-
Peshawar Zalmi- 1 win out of 3 matches
Peshawar Zalmi take the top spot in the points table with 13 points. They need to win one out of the remaining three matches to qualify for the playoffs.
Islamabad United- 3 wins out of 4 matches
Islamabad United take the second spot in the PSL 2026 points table. They need to win three out of four games to reach the top four. Two victories will also give them a top-four finish.
Multan Sultans- 2 wins out of 4 matches
Multan Sultans are currently in the third spot in the points table. They need to win two out of the remaining four games to reach the playoffs. If they win only one match, NRR will come into the picture.
Quetta Gladiators- 3 wins out of 3 matches
Quetta Gladiators need to win all of their remaining three games to make it to the top 4. They are currently placed fourth in the points table with six points. If they win two games, then NRR will decide their future.
Hyderabad Kingsmen- 3 wins out of 3 matches
Hyderabad Kingsmen are placed 5th in the points table. They need to win their remaining three matches to qualify for the knockouts.
Karachi Kings- 3 wins out of 4 matches
Karachi Kings are in sixth place, with 3 wins and 3 defeats from 6 matches. They need to win their next three matches at any cost to book a berth in the playoffs.
Lahore Qalandars- 4 wins out of 4 matches
Lahore Qalandars need to win the remaining four games to book a berth in the playoffs. They have won two out of six games and are placed seventh in the points table.
Rawalpindiz- 4 wins out of 4 matches
Rawalpindiz have lost all six of their games in PSL 2026. They need to win all four of their remaining matches. However, their qualification will still depend on the NRR.
