Quinton de Kock scored his 20th ODI ton in his 150th ODI game.

Quinton de Kock has always enjoyed batting on Indian soil. He has some really good numbers in India and has converted most of his 50+ scores into a hundred, and now he has already smashed three hundreds in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The left-hander has become the top run scorer in the ongoing tournament with a hundred against Bangladesh at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

De Kock started the tournament with two consecutive hundreds against Sri Lanka and Australia, respectively. He looked a little out of place before coming into the tournament, but he has looked in tremendous touch since coming to India. De Kock has broken a few records with his latest hundred in Delhi.

Quinton de Kock becomes 2nd Fastest South African to reach 20 ODI tons

Quinton de Kock reached his hundred off 100 balls. This is his third hundred of the competition, and he has become the first player from his country to score three World Cup hundreds in a single edition. AB de Villiers hit two centuries in 2011 World Cup. With three hundreds in five games, and the way he is going, he can certainly give a shot at Rohit Sharma's five hundreds record.

Overall, it is the 20th ODI ton for Quinton de Kock. With this, he has become the second-fastest South African batter to reach this milestone. He went past AB de Villiers, who scored 20 ODI hundreds in 175 innings, and de Kock has done it in 150 innings. Hashim Amla is the fastest, with 108 innings.

On the other hand, Amla is overall the fastest. Quinton de Kock became the fourth fastest overall to reach 20 ODI hundreds. Virat Kohli (133) and David Warner (142) are ahead of him. The left-hander announced before the start of the World Cup that he would retire from ODIs after the conclusion of the tournament, and it looks like he is giving his best for his team.
