Rahul Dravid’s Son Samit scored 33 runs against the Gulbarga Mystics on August 18.

Legendary Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid’s son Samit Dravid finally showcased his talent in the ongoing KSCA Maharaja T20 Trophy. The youngster is playing for the Mysore Warriors in the ongoing tournament.

After two failures, Samit finally got some runs under his belt when his side, Mysore Warriors, faced Gulbarga Mystics in the afternoon clash on August 18 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Mystics skipper Devdutt Padikkal opted to field first and they reduced the Warriors to 18-2 in four overs.

Then came Dravid’s son Samit who caught everyone’s attention with his glorious stroke play and also stitched a crucial partnership with Warriors skipper Karun Nair.

Samit Dravid’s crucial 33-run knock powered Mysore Warriors to 196/8

Samit played a crucial knock of 33 runs in 24 deliveries and stitched a vital stand with skipper Karun Nair of 83 runs for the third wicket.

Nair’s 35-ball 66 and a fiery knock of 40 runs off only 13 balls from Jagadeesha Suchith ensured the Warriors reached 196/8 in 20 overs.

Meanwhile, Samit hammered a powerful six on the second delivery of the 10th over. Mystics’ Praveen Dubey bowled a googly on the off stump to which Samit executed a brilliant inside-out shot that cleared the ropes over deep cover.

However, Samit was dismissed by Sharan Goud in the 12th over, which ended his 24-ball 33-run innings, including four boundaries and a six.
