Ravi Bishnoi moves on from Rajasthan ahead of 2023-24 domestic season, Set to play for Gujarat

Ravi Bishnoi has played just one first class game for Rajasthan since he made his debut.
Leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi has made a switch from Rajasthan to Gujarat Cricket Association. Bishnoi will be playing for Gujarat in the upcoming Indian domestic season. Bishnoi made a move to Gujarat from Rajasthan as he was not given enough opportunity in the Ranji Trophy tournament. Bishnoi was warming the bench in most of the Rajasthan games. Bishnoi was part of the Indian limited overs setup, he will probably be flying to West Indies for a 5-match T20I series in August. Bishnoi has become an integral part of the Indian T20I side with his superb performance. Bishnoi is now looking to get a good first-class cricket experience.
Ravi Bishnoi shared a story on his Instagram with a Gujarat Cricket Association jersey and gave the caption ‘New beginning’ confirming his move to Rajasthan’s neighboring state Gujarat.

Sources close to Ravi Bishnoi claimed that Bishnoi made a move due to the limited opportunities he was given from Rajasthan. Bishnoi has played only one first-class game for Rajasthan in the last three Ranji seasons. Bishnoi became a big name with his Under 19 World Cup in 2020. Despite playing for India in ODIs and T20I cricket, Bishnoi was not getting enough chances in domestic cricket for Rajasthan, forcing him to make his move to neighboring Gujarat.
The 22-year-old Leg spinner is currently in Ahmedabad for GCA camp for 10 days. Bishnoi recently featured in the Indian Premier League for Lucknow Super Giants. Bishnoi has been a great white-ball bowler, he has played 10 T20 internationals for India and picked up 16 wickets, he also made his ODI debut last year against South Africa in Lucknow and picked up a wicket in the game. Bishnoi is working well along with Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav in limited overs format. Bishnoi is looking for a proper domestic season experience to become an all format player.
