Indian Cricket Team all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja achieved a massive feat in the history of Indian test cricket. The southpaw went past MS Dhoni’s tally of hitting most sixes in the longest format of the game for India and is now only behind Rohit Sharma, Virender Sehwag and Rishabh Pant in the list.
Ravindra Jadeja achieved the feat during the ongoing first test against the West Indies Cricket Team. The opening game of the two-match series between the teams is taking place at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Ravindra Jadeja, who walked out to bat at six in first innings of the first test, came up with another great innings and put his team in a dominating position. He came out to bat with a positive intent and started hitting the West Indies bowlers right from the start, carrying on his form from the England test tour.
Ravindra Jadeja hit another half-century in tests and en route to his fifty, he slammed four sixes. The all-rounder now has 79 sixes in his career as he went past MS Dhoni’s tally of 78 maximums. With the way, he is going, he can surely go past Rohit Sharma and Virender Sehwag in the list.

Coming to the match between India and West Indies, the Shubman Gill-led side, who were asked to field, had a great outing with the ball. They bundled out the opposition for just 162 with Mohammed Siraj (4 wickets) and Jasprit Bumrah (3 wickets) combining to take seven wickets.
Then with the bat, KL Rahul (100) slammed a magical ton while opening the innings. He had a solid 68-run stand with Yashasvi Jaiswal (36) at the top and then skipper Shubman Gill hit a flawless fifty, adding 98 runs with Rahul.
After both Rahul and Gill were back to the hut, Jadeja and Dhruv Jurel took the onus and made the West Indies bowlers look clueless. Both the batters have hit vital fifties and would be keen to convert their half-centuries into a ton.
