Ravindra Jadeja's father makes shocking allegations on son, Indian cricketer hits back
Ravindra Jadeja’s father blamed cricketer’s wife Rivaba for the split in relations.
India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja‘s father, Anirudhsinh, has stated that he does not receive any money from his cricketer son and pays for his household bills with his late wife’s pension.
Even though Ravindra lives in a luxury four-story bungalow in Jamnagar, his father continues to live in their old two-bedroom flat. Anirudhsinh shared his plight of a strained relationship with his son Ravindra and blamed it on his daughter-in-law Rivaba.
“I have some land in my village. I manage my expenses from the ₹20,000 pension of my wife. I live alone in a 2BHK flat. I have a house-help who cooks for me. I am living my life on my own terms. Even in my 2BHK flat, there is still a separate room for Ravindra.
We have worked very hard to make Ravindra a cricketer. I used to carry 20-litre milk cans on my shoulder to earn money. I have even worked as a watchman. We come from a humble background. His sister has done even more than me. She took care of him as a mother. However, he hasn’t kept any relations with his sister either,” Anirudhsinh said to Divya Bhaskar.
Anirudhsinh claimed that Ravindra Jadeja’s wife, Rivaba, sparked a schism between their family. He stated that shortly after their marriage, she compelled the renowned cricketer to transfer ownership of his eatery.
“Right after their marriage, there was a dispute regarding the ownership of Ravindra’s restaurant. She (Rivaba) told him to transfer the ownership of the restaurant to her name. They even had a major fight because of that. His sister thought that he would manage things from now on, and agreed to sign.” Anirudhsinh added.
Anirudhsinh suggested that Ravindra’s sister, Naynaba, cries remembering her brother on Rakshabandhan.
“I don’t call Ravindra, and I don’t need him. He is not my father; I am his father. He is the one who is supposed to call me. All of this makes me cry. His sister also weeps on Rakshabandhan.” he concluded.
‘Attempts made to tarnish my wife’s image’: Ravindra Jadeja breaks silence on father’s allegations
Team India and Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has now taken it to social media and dismissed his father Anirudhsingh Jadeja’s claims of having a strained relationship and his wife Rivaba Jadeja.
Ravindra Jadeja and Rivaba got married in April 2016. The couple became parents for the first time in 2017 with the birth of their baby girl.
Ravindra Jadeja was quick to react to his interview. Taking to his X handle (formerly Twitter), the 35-year-old said that it is an attempt to tarnish the image of him and his wife. The post was in Gujarati language and the English translation reads as below:
“All the things mentioned in the Dainik Bhaskar interview is nonsense. It is completely meaningless and untrue. These are attempts to tarnish the image of my wife which are truly reprehensible. I also have a lot of things to say but don’t say them publicly.” Jadeja wrote.
