The food joint was launched in 2012 after Ravindra Jadeja made his India debut in 2009.
India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was the hero for his team in their massive 434-run win over England in the recent third match of the ongoing five-match test series. This match was played at Jadeja’s home ground in Rajkot and he shined brightly with both the bat and the ball.
First Ravindra Jadeja helped India out of trouble after they were reduced to 33/3 on day one by England after captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bat first. Rohit made 131 and Jadeja made 112 runs as India posted 445 runs in the first innings. Jadeja then picked two wickets with the ball as England were bowled out for 319 runs in the first innings, despite Ben Duckett’s 153-run knock.
In the second innings, Jadeja didn’t get a chance to bat as Yashasvi Jaiswal made 214* and Shubman Gill made 91. Sarfaraz Khan followed his 62 in the first innings with 68* in the second in his debut test. He also added 172* runs for the 5th wicket with Jaiswal in just 26 overs taking India to 430/4d.
This set England a target of 557 runs to win the test and take a lead in the series. However, the England batters were no match for India bowlers on a crumbling fourth-day pitch. Ravindra Jadeja starred with the bowl as he picked 5/41 as England was bowled out for 122 and lost by 434 runs.
Jadeja was also named the Player of the Match for his performance.

Ravindra Jadeja also owns a restaurant in Rajkot, his hometown. Three years after he made his debut in India, Ravindra Jadeja opened a restaurant called ‘Jaddu’s Food Field’ in Rajkot in 2012.
Gujarat is famed for its excellent vegetarian cuisine, and Jaddu’s Food Field ensures that tourists are provided a range of them. Jaddu’s Food Field, a family restaurant, caters to a variety of tastes.
On one hand, even as pictures of Jadeja and his teammates adorn the walls, there are also several memorabilia including his first bat and a few red cherries. There is also Jadeja’s CSK jersey adoring one of the walls.
Well-known England team fan base Barmy Army visited Ravindra Jadeja’s restaurant and shared photos of the food joint on social media. The captioned the post: “We managed to eat at Jadeja’s restaurant in Rajkot before we left 😍 It was delicious, thanks @imjadeja.”
