RCB earlier tweeted that team will conduct an open bus parade to celebrate IPL 2025 victory.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), on Tuesday, 3rd June, lifted their first-ever Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy. They defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) in IPL 2025 final by six runs to become the champions.

Celebrations began in the RCB dressing room as the franchise won the IPL final after three unsuccessful attempts in the past. The franchise also planned an open bus parade in Bengaluru to celebrate their triumph.

RCB posted on their official account on X (formerly Twitter) that an open bus parade will take place from Vidhana Soudha to the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from 3:30 PM. However, according to the latest updates, the open bus parade has been cancelled.

No open bus parade in Bengaluru, RCB team to be felicitated at M Chinnaswamy Stadium

The Bengaluru traffic police confirmed on X that no open bus parade will take place in Bengaluru on Wednesday, June 4. The bus parade has been cancelled due to traffic congestion in the city. The Bengaluru traffic police also urged people to avoid roads near the M Chinnaswamy Stadium due to the felicitation ceremony.

“Due to felicitation function for RCB team at Chinnaswamy Stadium from 5 PM to 6 PM, public are advised to avoid roads surrounding Vidhan Soudha and Chinnaswamy Stadium from 3 PM to 8 PM. There will be no victory parade due to limited parking, public are advised to use Metro and other public transport.” the statement from Bengaluru Traffic Police read.

The players will be now felicitated at their home ground, M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Moreover, former RCB players Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers will also join the celebrations with the RCB team.

Both of them were key contributors during the 2011 and 2016 editions, when RCB finished as runners-up. They congratulated Kohli after the victory and also wore RCB jerseys to celebrate the occasion after the final.

Meanwhile, celebrations also started in Bengaluru city on Tuesday night following RCB’s victory in the IPL 2025 final. RCB fans flooded the streets in Bengaluru and also burnt firecrackers to celebrate the win. RCB defended a total of 191 in the final against PBKS.
