Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will collide in match 52 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The RCB vs CSK clash will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. It is the second match between the two sides in the ongoing IPL 2025.
Rajat Paditar leads RCB in the tournament. MS Dhoni is the skipper of CSK. While RCB have been performing really well in the tournament, CSK have been among the weakest sides. RCB are a couple of wins away from qualifying for the playoffs, while the Super Kings are already eliminated from the race to playoffs. They have lost eight games out of 10 so far.
RCB have won seven games and lost three out of 10. They have 14 points and currently occupy second position in the points table. They crushed Delhi Capitals (DC) by six wickets in their last match. Earlier this season, they outplayed CSK by 50 runs in the eighth game of the season. Hence, they will now aim to make it two out of two against CSK this season.
However, there has been a major concern ahead of the clash as Bengaluru, the host city of the game, witnessed rain on Friday, May 2 during the practice session.

The RCB vs CSK encounter will commence at 7:30 PM in Bengaluru. According to weather forecast from weather.com, the temperature of Bengaluru city on Saturday, May 3, will be 32° Celcius during the day and 22° Celcius at night.
Thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon and evening on Saturday. The chances of rain are 76% during the day and 78% at night. Hence, there is a high chance that RCB vs CSK game will be affected by rain. The humidity will be 63% during the day and 77% at night.

RCB’s home ground M Chinnaswamy Stadium was affected by rain earlier in the tournament. RCB’s clash against Punjab Kings (PBKS), match No. 34 of IPL 2025, was hampered by rain at the start. The match was reduced to 14 overs per side and the home team lost the encounter by five wickets. So far, only one match- KKR vs PBKS – has been completely washed out due to rain in the ongoing tournament. It took place at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
