Revealed: Reason behind Najmul Hossain Shanto's special celebration after scoring 100 vs AFG in Asia Cup 2023

Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored centuries to take Bangladesh out of trouble.
The fourth game of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 is underway, and Bangladesh are taking on Afghanistan at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. It is a must-win contest for Bangladesh, as they already lost their opening match against defending champions Sri Lanka by five wickets. But it looked like they entered the game with a proper plan and have done a brilliant job so far.
After winning the toss, Bangladesh batted first and posted a huge total of 334/5 in the first innings. It happened courtesy of two centuries for Bangladesh. Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who opened the innings after five years, scored his second ODI century. He made 112 off 119 balls, including seven fours and three sixes, before getting retired hurt. Apart from him, Najmul Hossain Shanto also brought up his second ODI hundred.

For the second game in a row, Shanto played a good innings in the middle. Against Sri Lanka, he made 89 and was the top scorer in the game, and now against Afghanistan, he scored a brilliant century. He got run out just after scoring his hundred.
Before getting out, he scored 104 off 105 balls, with nine fours and two sixes. However, as he reached his century, he pulled off a "holding baby" celebration. After the conclusion of the first innings, he revealed the reason for his unique celebration. He said, "This hundred, I dedicate it to my son."
He also spoke about the pitch and conditions. Shanto said that playing in the BPL helped him, and it also has a number of overseas players. He also lauded Miraz for a good start and added that the pitch is pretty good to bat on, but Bangladesh have got a good bowling attack and they can win the game. It is a must-win match for Bangladesh because a loss will kick them out of the tournament.
