Rinku Singh had hit Yash Dayal for 5 sixes in an over when KKR needed 29 runs in 6 balls to win against GT in IPL 2023.

Talented left-hander Rinku Singh relived his record 5 sixes in this year's IPL in the match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad and credited that innings for his Indian team selection for the upcoming Asian Games to be played in China.

The 2023 Asian Games will have men's cricket as an event, and the sport will be played in the T20 format. The matches will take place from September 28 to October 8, and will be played at the Zhejiang University of Technology Pingfeng Cricket Field.

Since the event clashed with the World Cup 2023, the BCCI named a second-string side for the event which will be captained by Ruturaj Gaikwad. It features a host of performers who did well in the IPL 2023 and names who might not be part of the Indian team for the ICC event and one of them was Rinku Singh.

The CSK opener has been joined by left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh and RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal.
