Rinku Singh played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2025.

Indian Cricket Team player Rinku Singh got engaged to Priya Saroj on Sunday, June 8, in a ceremony in Lucknow. Saroj is a Member of Parliament (MP) from the Samajwadi Party. Their wedding will take place on November 18 at the Hotel Taj in Varanasi.

As per media reports, about 300 guests attended the engagement ceremony of the couple in Lucknow. Many politicians and former cricketers like Praveen Kumar and Piyush Chawla also attended the event.

Among politicians, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, MPs Jaya Bachchan, Dimple Yadav, and Iqra Hasan were present at the event. Ahead of the engagement ceremony, the couple visited Chaudhera Wali Vichitra temple in Bulandshahr city with their family members to seek blessings.

Rinku’s marriage became a trending topic for cricket fans on X (Twitter). Many photos and videos from their engagement ceremony went viral on the internet. Have a look at the video below.

His fiancée Saroj became an MP from Machhlishahr City of Uttar Pradesh in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. Her father, Toofani Saroj, is a former MP from the same city. He has also served as an MLA from the Samajwadi Party.

Meanwhile, Rinku was part of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 recently. The left-handed batter didn’t have a great season as he scored 206 runs in 11 innings at a strike rate of 153.73 with a top knock of an unbeaten 38 runs. He was retained by the franchise for Rs. 13 crore during the IPL 2025 mega auction.

However, his team, KKR, gave a flop show in the tournament. Under Ajinkya Rahane’s captaincy, Knight Riders won just five games and lost seven matches out of 14 encounters, while two games ended with no result. The defending champions ended in the eighth spot in the points table with 12 points.
