Rinku has had a great IPL 2023 season and became an overnight sensation after smashing 5 consecutive sixes in the last over against Gujarat Titans.

Rinku Singh had a smashing IPL season for Kolkata Knight Riders and ended up as the leading run scorer for the team. He smashed 474 runs in 14 innings with an outstanding average of 59.25 and 4 fifty-plus scores. KKR were relying heavily on Rinku’s finishing ability throughout the season.

After facing back-to-back setbacks in the 2021 and 2022 T20 World Cups, the Indian team management will be looking to bring in some fresh faces in the T20 format. Hardik Pandya may be picked as captain and rewarded for his brilliant leadership in the IPL with Gujarat Titans. Team India are in search of a good finisher for the Number 5 and 6 position, and Rinku Singh with his brilliant batting performance has put his name forward for the position. According to a few reports IPL 2023 Purple cap winner, Mohammed Shami can also be rested for the 5-match long T20I series against West Indies. India will be looking to build a different pool of players for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA. Senior players like Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma can be given a break to manage the workload as India will be playing in the Asia Cup in September and World Cup in October and November.
